The story of Ganesha goes something like this…. He was magically brought into existence as a little boy at first by Shakti who felt lonely when Lord Shiva left her to do his work. One day Lord Shiva returned to find Ganesh and thought he was an intruder so cut of his head. On seeing this Shakti was devastated and Lord Shiva returned Ganesha to life with the head of an elephant.Ganesha is thought to remove all obstacles and has been part of my spiritual life for 30 years. Chanting the names of the Hindu deities not only makes one feel great but the ancient language of Sanskrit, with it’s tones and vibrations, resonates with the tones and vibrations of the universe. It is incredibly powerful.

“Lord Ganesh of curved elephant trunk and huge body,Whose brilliance is equal to billions of suns in intensity,Always removes all obstacles from my endeavours truly,I respectfully pray to him with all my revered sincerity.”Logic is like a mouse. It can cut through anything.Ganesha is the Lord of inward logic (Vitarka). Seekers on the path of knowledge must use the mouse to cut through their own illusion (like sages) instead of trying to cut through the universe (like western scientists).”
